1. Introduction
Business Networks ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have regarding your data. This Policy is issued in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) of India.

We collect the following categories of information: (a) Account Information — your name, email address, and profile photo obtained through Google Sign-In when you create an account; (b) Listing Information — details you voluntarily submit when creating a business, real estate, industrial, or investment listing, such as property details, pricing, location, and contact information; (c) Usage Data — information about how you interact with the Platform, including pages visited, search queries, and device/browser information; (d) Communication Data — messages, enquiries, or support requests you send to us or other users through the Platform.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: create and manage your account; display your listings to other users; facilitate communication between businesses; personalize your experience and show relevant listings; send you important notifications about your account or transactions; improve and maintain the security and performance of the Platform; comply with legal obligations; and, where you have opted in, send you promotional updates about new features or opportunities.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent (for example, when you sign in with Google or submit a listing), the necessity to perform our contract with you (providing Platform services), and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Platform, in each case consistent with applicable Indian data protection law.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information: (a) with other users, to the extent necessary to facilitate a listing enquiry or business connection you initiate; (b) with service providers who help us operate the Platform (such as hosting, analytics, and payment processing providers), under contractual confidentiality obligations; (c) with authorities, where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Business Networks, our users, or the public; and (d) in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to equivalent privacy protections.
6. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Platform is used. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; however, doing so may affect certain features of the Platform.
7. Data Storage & Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Your data may be stored on servers located in India or with cloud service providers that maintain appropriate security standards.
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with our services. We may retain certain information for a longer period where required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
9. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data; request deletion of your account and associated data; withdraw consent for optional data processing (such as marketing communications) at any time; and raise a grievance regarding the handling of your personal data. 10. Children's Privacy
The Platform is intended for use by businesses and individuals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
